trump-hannity-in-loveAn Open Letter to Sean Hannity

Last week Josh offered up an open letter to Donald Trump. I would like to add my own open letter, but this time to Trump’s spinmeister, the once respectable Sean Hannity.

Dear Sean,

You made social media headlines this last week when you threatened to blame Republican establishment hacks for the looming Hillary Clinton victory in November. On Wednesday, August 3, 2016 you posted the following audio transcript to your website:

If in 96 days Trump loses this election, I am pointing the finger directly at people like Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham and John McCain and John Kasich and Ted Cruz if he won’t endorse – and Jeb Bush and everybody else that made promises they’re not keeping. And because I have watched and witnessed to the point of incredible frustration – I have watched these Republicans be more harsh towards Donald Trump than they’ve ever been in standing up to Barack Obama and his radical agenda.

They did nothing, nothing – all these phony votes to repeal and replace ObamaCare, show votes so they can go back and keep their power and get reelected. Sorry, you created Donald Trump, all of you because of your ineffectiveness, because of your weakness, your spinelessness, your lack of vision, your inability to fight Obama. Your fear of being blamed for a government shutdown and I’m getting a little sick and tired of all of you. Honestly I am tempted to just say I don’t support any of you people ever. You know what, Paul Ryan wants to play this game – I haven’t made up my mind either. He’s running against a guy in the primary. I haven’t made up mind who I’m going to support.”

Sean, I happen to agree with you regarding the feckless, gutless, and spineless conduct of the Republican establishment. But if you think that Ted Cruz is the same as Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, you need a good “slapping!”

You might want to back the blame train up a bit seeing that your boy- #MisterTrump has recently endorsed that very same feckless, gutless, spineless, Republican establishment  that you loathe. If this Republican establishment is what is going to cost Trump the presidency, why would Trump endorse them? Have you called Trump up to ask him that question? It does not appear that the candidate of your choosing is all that upset with these men. Why are you? Is it possible that the candidate whom you have supported and shilled for is part of that very same establishment?

hannity interviews trumpIf Trump loses the election, it will not be because Ted Cruz refused to endorse him. Trump has said that he didn’t want Cruz’s endorsement or need Cruz’s endorsement. Nor will the blame lie with the #NeverTrump movement. If we were all that influential, this con man charlatan would not be the Republican nominee in the first place. Don’t blame conservatives like Ted Cruz for a Trump defeat! You may have been willing to whore yourself out to a liberal con-man, but don’t’ expect the rest of us to follow along in your pathetic mire just so you can sleep at night. We aren’t interested in a spot next to you at the Trump Trough!

If you’re looking for someone to blame for the fact that a liberal New York progressive Democrat has secured the Republican nomination, look no further than the mirror. You, Sean, have done more to get Donald Trump nominated than probably anyone else in the country. In an election cycle that should be a grand slam home-run for Republicans and the conservative movement, you have worked tirelessly to give the nomination to the only political figure in the country that is more hated than Killary Clinton. You, Laura Ingram, Ann Coulter, and a host of other pseudo-conservatives have continually backed the most liberal, socialist, statist, progressive Republican candidate in the race. This is on you, Sean.

You broke it, you bought it. You own the Trump Train, the Trump disaster, the Trumpocolypse – it is all yours! This is your bed. You made it. Own it, and own it proudly! You have worked very hard for the defeat that is coming in November. You should be very, very proud.
